Public Service Edition: Leadership, Law, and Missouri’s Support for Veterans

Featuring David Wasinger & William “Trey” Warren

The Welcome Home Forum hosted a extraordinary crowd at Thompon Coburn LLP of veterans, attorneys, judges, students, business leaders, and elected officials for a candid conversation on service, leadership, and the challenges facing today’s veteran community.

What began as a simple ask to the Lt. Governor quickly turned into one of the most well-attended forums to date. The message was clear: Missouri shows up for its veterans.

The program featured two powerful voices. William “Trey” Warren, a former Navy F-14 and F-18 pilot and Top Gun graduate, shared the long-term effects of repeated blast exposure and the role that alternative therapeutics are beginning to play in treating trauma and brain injury. His story brought the room to a standstill.

Lt. Governor David Wasinger, Missouri’s statewide veterans advocate, spoke about his path from small-town Hannibal to the statewide office, the values that guide him, and the work his office is doing to support veterans across the state. His authenticity and commitment to the mission resonated with everyone in the room.

The forum reinforced a simple truth: when it comes to supporting veterans and strengthening our civic fabric, Missouri shows up — quietly, consistently, and with purpose.
